When I Love Myself Enough
The workshop is about loving and living with love in and for oneself, striving for acceptance and practice of affirmations about and to oneself.
It is about meeting and minding the self with love, with some Love ABCS; deepening of awareness, exploring of self beliefs, learning and doings of conscious self-care, in body, through building bridges and setting boundaries, forging and supporting in sisterhood.
This workshop is inviting every woman seeking beautiful healthy love for the person she was created as, the person she is, the person she may yet become.
Some of the extra specials of the workshop include many; Lovetivities & a Loveful Lunch
There will also be door rewards for Firstcomers – First 10 to register, and Aspire Alumni from past programmes.
Rewards include discounted and free therapy sessions, tickets to other upcoming Aspire programmes and other treasures.
The When I Love Myself Enough workshop is the 4th since it was first delivered in 2017. The last edition was its maiden Online Edition in 2021 during the Pandemic Lock Downs, where sisters participated from Australia, Nigeria, Canada, US and UK.
The workshop is designed and delivered by Summayyah Sadiq-Ojibara, a Psychotherapist, Counsellor, Writer, a.k.a ‘Love Doctor’ (also titled by an adorable nine-year old at another workshop :)).
Summayyah is the Founder & CEO ComXtra Knowledge Concepts, a Counselling, Coaching and Creativity Consultancy that provides DEW Counselling services and Aspire Programmes.

Our 5th retreat since 2022 when we took our first ever BeLive journey.

As we do, we are taking time to retreat, reflect, reconnect, realign, replenish, refocus our minds, hearts, souls, our bodies, our breath, our living, our lives.
It is a beautiful, blessed gathering of sisterhood where bonds are formed, where space is held with care for one and for all, where healing, growth, transformation is witnessed and shared.
It is a Sistacation, a Mecation. It is an invitation to take time for ourselves, to feel, to heal, to seek meaning, to experience ourselves more mindfully, with more clarity, strive with, for, faithfully.

As the journey continues with the year 2024, there’s something calling to me more than ever before as a person and a professional, with experience, expertise, with expectations and efforts, is to be in more spaces with the male folk.
No, yes, you read that right.
I’m not sleep writing.
I have not been hacked.
I am not looking to invite the social media monitoring, censoring enforcers to a barbecue, Aani damu, as my Yoruba people will pray, may we not be troubled, Amin.
This is not a marketing gimmick, even though there will be transactions with payment in instances.
I want to share more spaces with fathers, uncles, husbands, brothers, sons.
I am a person born to a father, who is sister to a brother, wife to a husband, aunty to nephews, mother to sons, as a professional who has had the privilege of working with thousands of boys and men in over three decades of presence and practice, and who continues to engage, interact and work with males in various capacities in more numbers individually and in groups.
All praise is due to You my Lord.
I want to do more.
I want to do more with the men in my life, more with my brethen in humanity.
I am hoping to make more spaces for boys and men, to safely explore, discover, learn, unlearn, relearn, unbecome and become, heal, grow, thrive, aspire, achieve, in their places in the world, in their dimensions, different ‘nity, ‘ities – Identities, Masculinity, Community, Humanity.
Some of these spaces will be dedicated to and directed towards, while some will be inclusive of boys, girls, men and women.
Let’s journey on together towards, forwards.
May we be guided, aided, our intentions, actions accepted, our lives be filled with blessings, our scales heavy with rewards. May our faith be firmed and reaffirmed in, through our strivings, Amin.

Just Us Hangouts
Almost exactly this time last year, from our Aspire treasure house, we had our first JustUs HangOut and Sleepover just for girls.
We had such a memorable time with some beautiful girls that I thought it was just right to have one for the boys too.
We had welcome treats, serious, sweet, savvy conversations, henna designing, cute, blinged up jewellery box making, games with gifts rewards, backyard gists and sisterly bonding time, yummy food, and munchies, movie night, more sisterly bonding and take home souvenirs.
Of course we had to give the boys too their own JustUs experience.
So, this year we are having a JustUs Boys too, and I will be assisted by a Big brother who will join us for a memorable experience for the boys in sha Allah.

The Guided Helper is a workshop for Helpers and Helping professionals on knowledge and helping practices with guided intentions and actions.
Helping and being a helper are callings from one’s essence and higher spiritual purpose of existence. Irin Ajo which means journey in Yoruba language, is a storytelling, story-sharing gathering that seeks to herald and honour people in moments, points of meaning and milestones reached on their life’s travels.

I know I’ve been talking about how special each programme is and how excited I am about every one of them, but this one has extra serving of special on top!

And, then, we have the extra special serving, the meeting with some Aspire MVPs – Most Valued Persons, who will be guest facilitators for our KIRTs – Keeping It Real Talks, on different issues that our young participants, young people face, are facing, questions they are asking, want to ask, answers they seek, dreams, goals, hopes, prayers they want to, are making.
These MVPs bring with them special gifts, expertise of their knowledge and lived experience, as Creative, CEO, Visionaries, Counsellor, Community Leader, Youth Worker, Deen Teacher, Prolific Gamer, as Young, Youngish, Youngish old! (Yup! there is such a thing, in Summayyah Book of Names..) and with big hearts and hands to make and hold space for our beautiful young ones in their hearing and sharing with them.
